I won’t bore you with the Whys since you probably came through my site www.briaquinlan.com — Let’s just say, I asked for help getting to the big RWA conference that I finaled in their YA Golden Heart category and — WOW! So, here goes:
Each item will be posted at and closed at predetermined times thru Thursday.
Before we start, I want to take a second to say thank you to everyone who has volunteered. You’ve broken my heart with blessings. And to everyone who is here to bid, whether you know me or not, thank you and may you win yourself a gift that makes your day!
So, THE RULES 🙂
- Bidding should be done in the comments section of the item you’re bidding on
- Put your ACTUAL bid in the comments so people know what the next amount up would be
- Some items have minimum bids. Please make sure to start there or above
- Bids grow by whole dollar amounts – a minimum of $1 jump is required to bid
- Items will have a cents amount attached to them. This is so I can be sure the item has been paid for
- So, the first item on the first day will be $__.11
- The 2nd item on the first day will be $ __.12
- The timeframe for bidding for that item will be right in the post. I’ll close the comments when the bidding is done
- All timeframes are EST
- Pay via the paypal button to the right
- A list of all items are in the All Items page (above)
- If more items come in, they will be added to the list
And of course, don’t see something you want? You can always buy something at our Writer’s Yardsale.
Again — Thank you *so* much everyone. I really hope that all the participants on both sides have a fun time!

Jeannie and her secret weapon, Little Sis, will be doing a joint critique of your first chapter up to 25 pages, so you’ll be receiving two critiques for the price of one. P.S. Jeannie is the nice one.
First chapter, up to 25 pages, any genre or heat level. My critiques focus on structural issues: character, tension, pacing, etc. My approach is to gauge what the writer is trying to accomplish and give feedback on how to strengthen what is already there or fill in the gaps if something is missing. I don’t tend to line edit or correct grammar and spelling.
Jeannie Lin writes historical romantic adventures set in Tang Dynasty China. Her Golden Heart award-winning novel, Butterfly Swords, received a starred review from Publishers Weekly—“The especially vibrant writing describing the culture, clothes, and countryside saves this from being just another tale of impossible love.” Jeannie also presents workshops on writing craft and promotion at national and local writing conferences. More information about Jeannie Lin and her books can be found at http://www.jeannielin.com.
Little Sis (Nam Nguyen) is published in short fiction and non-fiction. Her trade book, Micro Monsters, made the National Science Teacher Association’s 2010 list for best science books for K-12 students.Nam has an MFA in Creative Writing fromEmersonCollege and a professional background in publishing and print production.

Rachel’s writing career began at the impressionable age of twelve with a poem dedicated to the soldiers of Desert Storm. A dark macabre affair that earned her a publication in an anthology and many raised eyebrows from family and friends, she hid her poetry and artistic style for years…
Tucked away in the heart of Central Texas, with the loving support of her husband and three children, she dusted the cobwebs from her craft. Returning to those twisted regions of her mind, she creates dark urban fantasies and soul-searching paranormal romance.

I’m happy to help Bria get to the GH awards at RWA Nationals this year by offering up a signed copy of Piper’s Fury, my debut paranormal romance novel.
